'action replay movie' is escapist cinema. The main character travels back in time through a time machine to look for things. And even after accomplishing the impossible, there are some sequences that just don't make sense.
But, absurd fares work wonders in cinema. Look at 'Avatar' or the highly over-rated 'Transformers', they are absolute fiction, but they worked, and that's where the topic ends. 'Action Replayy' entertains, especially in the second hour, which is fantastic. The first hour is flawed, but certainly not unbearable.
Vipul Shah's direction is good. The writing is flawed in the early parts, but picks-up prominently in the later hours. Cinematography is fine.
The art direction also deserves a mention, as it really brings back the '70s era.
Akshay Kumar is superb in terms of performance. As a geek, the superstar delivers a performance that easily ranks among his finest. Aishwarya Rai is very sweet. Aditya Roy Kapur is the best. Neha Dhupia gets limited circle Ditto for Sudeepa Singh.
Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Kirron Kher are good. Rannvijay Singh is the least impressive.

I can't see why it's cast as 'Flop' - it's full of fun, laughter and the wackiness of time travel! It shows that you have to make up your mind and not always follow the crowd, especially when they turn a movie like 'I Hate Love Stories' into a hit.

I really liked the film and I think Aditya Roy Kapur's acting is better than Ranbir Kapoor and he is the best actor of the future. action replay movie is better than Dabangg, Rajneeti, Housefull, Khatta Meetha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Golmaal 3.
I would give this film a 10 out of 10. This film is the best film of 2010 till date. action replay movie looks 100 times better than Golmaal 3.
And people of Bollywood Hungama and other movie rating company are taking leave for akshay kumar because they gave really low rating to this movie but people on facebook and other social networking sites are swearing by movie rating companies people because This movie should be 4.5 out of 5.

Action Replayy was not such a bad film. Some laughs here, some tears there - but it certainly wasn't the "Diwali blast" as we were all expecting it. After all these years after Dhoom 2, Aishwarya finally came in a glamorous avatar in Bollywood and she is looking gorgeous.
The actor playing the protagonist did a good job, but I think it would have been better and more interesting if a more established star had his role in a film that happens on such a massive scale with so many stars.
After being influenced by the previous Diwali blockbuster, Om Shanti Om, in which a major part of the film takes place in the 1970s/80s and is masterfully done by Farah Khan, the action replay movie just don't match up. The depiction of that retro era feels too harsh, forced, and stereotypical.
Even if we ignore these weaknesses, the biggest drawback of the film is its script. The story is too elementary, it's not entertaining at all, the comedy is too weak and just a few laughs, and the experience isn't memorable at all.
Also, regarding the lip-syncing trick in the movie, isn't it obvious that the guy doing the lip-syncing isn't singing? Music is good. The best tracks are Zor Ka Jhatka and Nakre.
In action replay movie While the first half is quite a drag, the second half makes up for it. The last few scenes are really good.
