8 x 10 tasveer The cover photo is very dark and looks quite violent in its context. In fact we found it to be no more disturbing than an episode of "Midsummer Murders." There are actually a few more murders after dad leaves but they are attentive and not graphic.
The details on the back of the DVD didn't even match the plot of the film: almost like we got a heavily edited version or a different one. The emphasis was on the supernatural but there's a slight 'supernatural' to it that actually goes into a picture.
It says that he can touch the past of the dead, touch anything of theirs but that was not in the movie- he could do everything. What was the point of photo-trance! (This was not the only inconsistency) Indian critics found the film to have left some questions, and described the revelation as 'shocking'.

Nor were we surprised at all by the killer's revelations. This is not a song and dance Bollywood nor is it an art-house.
There is music in the background. Canada looked picturesque and the plot unfolded at a good pace.

The time spent listening to the contestants on the sets and commenting would have made it difficult for them.
The cinematography and especially the underwater sequences were breath taking and it will make one want to know what is to come next.
The only downside to this is that sometimes it is quite predictable. Overall it is a film which is worth watching.
Just finished watching the movie on Prime Video and it was unlike anything I've ever seen in a Bollywood movie.
Needless to say, this film was way ahead of its time. No unnecessary love tracks, forced comedies or songs: just a purely smart, impactful, interesting story.

Akshay Kumar delivers an excellent performance, and Javed Jaffrey also entertains with his subtle comic timing. Ayesha Takia is also impressive.

That being said, 8 x 10 tasveer Pic is not your typical Bollywood movie. It is an out-and-out action thriller that feels like an international film as it entertains without compromising on quality.
I would love to collect it, as stunts and twists have impressed me more than any Akshay Kumar film I have ever seen. Nagesh Kukunoor's first attempt at making an action thriller is so successful that I want to see more of his work in this genre.

Talking about the film, it is slow initially, but it is needed to take the story forward. As the film progresses, the pace is maintained very well. The BG music was perfect to set your mood for a thriller.
The film is very stylishly shot with amazing locations, including some breathtaking stunts that have been shot beautifully. Nagesh certainly deserves praise for such high quality direction seen in Hollywood movies.

The thrill and suspense are very well maintained till the end, and your curiosity to know the culprit only increases with every passing minute.
Talking about acting, Akshay Kumar is amazing for this role. I can't think of anyone other than Akshay Kumar for this role.
Akshay plays the role with utmost ease and grace and delivers a top-notch performance.

Ayesha Takia was fine. As expected Javed Jaffrey was good with his humour. Rest of the cast was up to the mark. The music was excellent, with just 3 songs. bg perfectWas.
The direction from Nagesh was just over the top. Would love to see him make more thrillers.
In the end, the picture is a visual treat for your eyes, containing all the elements of a complete thriller film. highly recommended!
