Ram Setu Trailer Story
An atheist archaeologist who turns a theist must race against time to prove the real existence of the mythical Rama Setu, before evil forces destroy the pillar of India's heritage.
Ram Setu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film directed by Abhishek Sharma. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrat Bharucha and Satya Dev and follows an archaeologist investigating the nature of Ram Setu, known in English as Adams Bridge.
The film was announced in November 2020 with principal photography commencing in Mumbai on 30 March 2021. Production faced setbacks and delays amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming resumed in October 2021 and took place in January 2022 near Ooty, Daman and Diu and Mumbai.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 25 October 2022 during the Diwali festival.
Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha was honored by the Afghan Archaeological Department for his remarkable discovery of treasure at an archaeological site and saving it from the Taliban.
Upon his return, he was promoted to director in his organization and given the task of investigating the ongoing controversy about whether the Ram Setu was a natural or man-made construction.
However, as an atheist, Aryan's report that Ram Setu was man-made sparked a heated debate in the country about the existence of Rama and the Ramayana.
Aryan faces suspension, and his family suffers the consequences. Despite his wife's request to avoid controversy for the sake of the family, Aryan is determined to clear his name and begins working with Pushpak Shipping.
The owner of the company, Indrakant, was involved in urban development and wanted evidence to prove that the Rama Setu was not built by Rama.
Aryan, along with his team including project manager Bali and Dr Sandra Rebello, went under water to investigate. However, due to the ongoing civil war, he had to remain cautious and not cross the Sri Lankan borders.
Aryan discovered a stone floating under the water which proves the existence of Ram Setu in BC and its possible construction by Rama.
However, Indrakant asked for more evidence to prove it. On a night mission underwater to find more evidence, Aryan, Sandra and Dr. Gabriel find themselves caught up in a dangerous plan and left to die in a stormy sea by Bali and Indrakant.
However, Dr. Gabriel realizes that Bali is behind the plan and takes the floating stone with him as proof. They are later rescued by a Sri Lankan fisherman, AP, who helps them cross the border, while Bali follows them.
In the end, the floating stone vanishes during the chase, and Gabriel is shot by Bali.
Aryan, along with Sandra and AP, decide to continue investigating the existence of Rama and Rama Setu in Sri Lanka, where evidence of Ravana's existence will further prove that Rama Setu was not a natural formation, but man-made.
